WHAT YOU NEED
- Buttermilk , 1 Cup Premix = 1 1/2 Cup Buttermilk
- Vegetables of your choice grated..
HOW TO PREPARE
- FOR STOVETOP COOKING:
- FOR BAKING IN THE OVEN:
- Mix 1 cup of premix with 1 1/2 cup of buttermilk.
- Take a deep nonstick pan and add oil. Heat the oil until hot.
- Preheat the oven to 200?C (392?F).
- If the batter is too thick, add a little more buttermilk to achieve a thick, flowy consistency.
- Add small batches of handvo batter to the pan.
- Pour the ready batter into a baking tray.
- Let the batter rest for 6 to 7 hours for fermentation.
- Cook on low to medium flame for 8 to 10 minutes on one side.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out
- Add vegetables to the batter.
- Flip the handvo and cook for another 8 to 10 minutes on the other side until golden brown and cooked through.
- clean, indicating it’s cooked through.
- Just before cooking or baking, add 2 grams of baking soda to the batter and mix
